race Christian Mission, Inc.

Board of Trustees
Founder- Chief Executive Officer Greetings!!
Grace Christian Mission (GCM) started in a small mountain village- Sto. Niño, Tanay, Rizal with prayers in our hearts
to reach the unreached tribes and indigent children with Jesus’ Gospel of love, in 1969 GCM was registered as a
charitable institution. We went through all kinds of hard trials, but we prayed hard to persevere. God’s word is our
strength “Have I not commanded? Be strong and courageous, do not be terrified, do not be discouraged for the
Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9 NIV) 3 tribal children came but one stayed in respect
to their culture Jesus saved them and had Education. (1.) Leonardo de la Cruz a Dumagat- 2 years in seminary and
BSE graduate of Philippine Christian University, taught in Grace Christian Mission Technical School (GCMTS) for 10
years. His people requested that he get into politics- Sto. Niño needed an Educated and honest leader- we released
him- their desire was rewarded he won, as Dumagat village Captain- the dignity of the poor tribes was lifted. (2.)
Alberto de los Santos- a Rumentado- Our first Missionary, Nancy for Badian-1980- an Orphanage Child, BRE
Graduate- Febias College of Bible, taught for 10 years Nancy Maravilla Manalo with Rolando her husband and 2
children left Badian to be in Sto. Niño. Alberto took their place- a graduate of New Tribes Mission Bible School and Rizal Agricultural University: a
Pastor, an Agriculturist and for few years- was also a teacher in Badian- for a while it was hard to get some tribal children from Sto. Niño they did
not care for Education; in 2007 to the present more and more tribes are enrolling in GCMTS- 1983 GCMTS- moved to Boso-Boso, Antipolo City.
Life improved from that hard life in Sto. Niño, good road all year round. During the rainy season, Sto. Niño can only be reached by foot. GCM-
Orphanage moved to Boso-Boso - 1992
Our first group of children became professionals and Board Passers- qualified to do big responsibilities. They are brave and faithful co-workers. I
passed all my responsibilities to them- Nenita- orphanage child- had 4 years of Computer Education, 2001- DepEd. required Computer subjects in
High School so Badian also had Computer Classes.
Roberto Sonio- an Orphanage child finished Theology, BSE and had few years of teaching and pastoring- for more load more Education was
needed- he was sent to Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Massachusetts, U.S.A for his Master of Arts in Educational Ministries, graduated
2006, and back- Consecrated as the School’s new principal, thus he relieved me from being the principal for 31 years of two schools. While in
Gordon, he learned good lessons in Computer- worked with Dr. Byker on a Website for GCM- we applied for a DSL developing internet for our
Computer in the City Office- made messages easier to come and go for us. GCM is up-to-date with Computer Technology of which we are very
grateful! Also taking advantage of cell phones, quick communication with Badian and information for them.
With joint hearts and minds we lift our voices praising God as expressed in the pages of our “Ruby” (sparkling red) Anniversary booklet. “Red”,
typify’s the blood of Christ spilt on Calvary. “ They over came him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and by their Testimony. They did not love their
lives so much as to shrink from (hard work) death.” (Rev. 12:11)
Our awesome God sustained GCM for 40 years. Human words is not enough to express our gratitude for the great things done for us!

Chairman-
GCM Congratulations on your Ruby Anniversary
40 Years of GOD’S Faithfulness “With God Behind Grace Christian Mission, You Can Face Whatever Lies Ahead of
You”
Congratulations and warmest greetings for 40 years of unmovable ministry of social concern for the less-fortunate
children.
A ministry in action fulfilling James 1:27 says: “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the father is this, to visit
the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”
GCM, keep on the firing open that more opportunities in saving souls and serving the less-fortunate be brought to
the Saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is no such thing as serving the Lord is a sacrifice. Problems and
hardships in serving the Lord is but a privilege. There is JOY in serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. GCM’s
ministries is Godly and honorable an outward manifestation of Christian love.
I count it a privilege to be a part of GCM’s ministry and I believed “that He who begun a good work in GCM will carry it on to completion until the day
of Christ Jesus” Phil. 1:6
CONGRATULATIONS AND HAPPY “RUBY” ANNIVERSARY!!!
GOD BLESS US ALL

Vice Chairman-
My warmest greetings to the founder, officers and staffs of Grace Christian Missions Inc. (GCM) on the occasion
of its 40th founding anniversary. Through the kind invitation of Bishop Catalino Llana, Chairman, I have been
involved as a Trustee and has felt the tremendous responsibility of the officers and staffs of GCM to sustain the
operation of its charitable works for the distressed and poor children of the farmers and fishermen in the areas.
Thru guts and sheer determination coupled with Christian spirits, as well as the kind hearted donors, the Mission
is now celebrating its 40th founding Anniversary-
Thanks to the donations by the foreign ministries and domestic companies who voluntarily and appreciably
brought foods, construction materials and cash to GCM where the 80-100 poor children orphaned and
abandoned at its early age have a house for nourishment and education to become future assets of the country
and the poor children of farmers and fishermen who could not afford to study at private schools, are accepted
wholeheartedly to be better farmers through technical agricultural education and facilities, both at Boso-Boso,
Antipolo City and Badian, Oas, Albay.
In behalf of the Board of Trustees, may we congratulate and best wishes to the founder, officers and staff of GCM for a job well done in the spirit
of Christian value in its undertakings.
MR. RAMON YAP
Vice Chairman
Executive Director -
During the many years that had passed, different kinds of challenges had come off in the Ministry. This is healthy
indication that GCM is still very much alive, able to adjust to the changes that is happening in the world of Charity
Service and has the ability to respond to the continuing need of expressing our love and dreams in the Mission.
Happy 40th Anniversary and God bless us all in God’s love.
PASTOR ELEAZAR B. MARAVILLA
Executive Director

Treasurer-
Deep within my heart is my warm salutations to GRACE CHRISTIAN MISSION on its 40th Founding Anniversary.
Since I joined the Board of Trustees of GCM, I have come to be impressed by its Founder, Arsenia Bañaga. She is
a very dedicated and selfless person in caring for the orphans and the less fortunate- unassuming and living a simple
life.
She also is the bread earner of the institution. Every gift given for her personal needs, she pours it all to fill the
needs of those under her charge. Keeping nothing to herself. Presently, she oversees one orphanage, two High
Schools, one Elementary and three churches. Yet does not want to hold any official title as offered to her by the
organization.
I believe GRACE CHRISTIAN MISSION will continue receiving the blessings of the Lord as it always has been. I am
proud to be a member of this body.

“I thank my God every time I remember you in all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your
partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in
you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:3-6
As I reread Philippians recently, I saw ways the thanksgiving, joy, and confidence St. Paul felt for Christ’s church in
Philippi was like the thanksgiving, joy, and confidence I feel for Christ’s Grace Christian Mission (GCM) in the
Philippines.
I thank God that more than 30 years ago at our church in Magnolia, Massachusetts, I first began hearing about
Arsenia Banaga and GCM. We were blessed by Arsenia’s visits and letters. Indelibly, in my memory I see a
picture that Arsenia sent with a black X on one of the men--her brother-in-law, who was killed trying to cross a
flooded river to get rice for the hungry orphans at GCM’s first location in mountainous Sto.Nino. That picture
symbolizes for me the courageous commitment shown by Christ’s partners at GCM, who, like Him, risk whatever it
takes to bring the good news of His salvation. And I am humbled, inspired, and so very thankful for GCM.
For the first 20-plus years, my joy over GCM was limited by my wondering if I might be imagining more good work than truly existed at GCM. Then,
early in this new century I accepted an invitation from Stephen Freed, President of International Teams USA, to do some training work with him at
International Teams Philippines (ITP) in Manila. Stephen knew I would be eager to go because I could also visit GCM. Gani Sison, President of
ITP, took me to Boso-Boso. In the hours Gani spent there with me, he was awed by the scope and quality of the kingdom building so clearly
evident. I stayed to study GCM and its work both in Boso-Boso and Badian. The good work I saw stretched far beyond what I had imagined for
GCM. And I am humbled, inspired, and filled with joy because of Grace Christian Mission.
I have great confidence for the future of GCM because I see in each of my visits the presence of Christ. Christ empowers Arsenia and generation
after generation of those served by GCM, who gratefully serve at GCM with whatever it takes to continue sharing the whole gospel of Christ: His
gospel lovingly told and shown at GCM’s Orphanage; His gospel well taught and compellingly modeled day after day in both of GCM’s large
Christian High Schools—now also in GCM’s rapidly growing Elementary School; Christ’s gospel steadily preached in GCM’s Churches and
consistently demonstrated by GCM’s transforming work within the communities where GCM lives. Seeing the abundant fruit that glorifies God at
GCM, I am confident that Christ working in Grace Christian Mission will “do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.” (Ephesians 3:20)
DONALD BYKER, Ph.D.
Board Member – Director in Promotion

Corporate Secretary - Principal
Praise God for what He has done to Grace Christian Mission (GCM)!
For 40 years God have been faithful to GCM. He is using the ordinary but dedicated people to train, nurture, and
challenge the young generation to serve the Lord and be an instrument of his saving grace.
The helpless Children have also dreams, but how can this be? No parent/guardian to look after them who is
capable to provide even just their basic needs. God is a compassionate and loving father for He used Grace
Christian Mission in order for those dreams to bring comes true and be a channel of his blessings “for with God
nothing shall be impossible” (Luke 1:31-KJV).
I am very grateful to the Lord because God considered me to enjoy His blessings for I came to know Him and
challenged to serve him through GCM, and get involve to its current ministries: helping the indigent children
through the orphanage, educating the students holistically through Christian school, and planting churches where
Christ is not yet known.
I believe that the Lord will continue to bless this institution and use the dedicated and unselfish Christians to carry on the work of the Lord and
be an instrument of showing his undying love and mercy till Jesus comes again. Truly, serving the Lord through this ministry is a great honor and
privilege. “Delight your self in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart” (Ps. 37: 4-NIV).
To God be the glory!
