March 19, 2010
Dear Loving Friends,
Greetings with the warm love of Jesus! Spring is coming soon with flowers in abundance! I love
your four seasons: winter with its sparkling white unique beauty, autumn- colorful leaves bright
yellow and bright red, summer your camping and fishing time all green around- good harvest of
corn, vegetables and etc! The Philippines with her two seasons are enjoyed- that’s all the people
know. Flowers and fruits all year round, but different kinds of fruits and flowers also in their own
season, 2009- was extreme rain fall that caused lots of terrible floods in Metro Manila, north and
south provinces of the City. 2010 in many provinces is extreme drought, many plants and animals
are dying, but our Lord is loving and kind in spite of men’s many short comings, some provinces
have shallow tube wells, plants are well watered and animals have the water and coolness they
need. Our markets have big piles of fruits and vegetables, meat and fish- there is no fear of
famine!
In spite of the floods and terrible drought in some provinces Grace Christian Mission
Family is doing fine. Our 70 Children and staff members at Home and at the Schools are enjoying
3 simple meals daily. It is not in the abundance on what we are rejoicing for, but the little that we
have that is keeping us alive, healthy and strong. Each time we pray for our food- We mention to
our Lord about the 5 thousand men not counting women and children with only 5 loaves of bread
and two fish and the four thousand men with 7 loaves of bread and few fish- all ate to the full and
leftover fragments of 12 baskets and seven baskets. Trickles of blessings: monthly aid come from 14 sponsors $20 each
to 16 children- monthly $320+320 KNH Germany=640- monthly food shopping for the 70= $1, 777.00 food alone is
already a big deficit, however you who are not sponsoring a child yet, giving regularly is marked general fund- this is
used to fill up urgent needs: food, medicine, etc. Those of you who received a copy of our February 2010 letter will
understand the $50, 000.00 payables. It is amazing how GCM- is surviving and active in the Lord’s work. We had 4 door
to door boxes with food which helped a lot plus little farm harvest. Our biggest Christmas giver, “the Philippine Chinese
Chamber of Commerce Eastern Rizal” was over drawn during the floods- what they gave this year seem to be only 60%
of the previous years- few givers did not show up they too are struggling to survive. However, our Lord is the father of
Orphans and He provides their needs Psa.68:5
Praises and Thanks giving:
1. Missionary Volunteer: Mrs. Ligaya Beltran Pen of Oregon. She is a close friend of mine since College days. She
left the Philippines in 1968- a Medical Technician by profession, but married to a Church Minister. She actively
worked with him. In 1980 she visited the Philippines and helped Cambodian Refugees in Bataan for one week with her
Church mates- returned to the U.S. Her husband passed away about five years ago, but she remained active as a
Church worker and Missionary. She is now retired- she asked me if she could come and help- she got to GCM Home
January 31, 2010- she is busy in helping at the Elementary Department, at the Orphanage as a grandmother to our
children- plays with them and helps them with “Remedial Reading”.
2. Elementary Department Office is finished! It is well done- it is now occupied by the Principal Mrs. Perpetual Llorico
and her teachers for meetings and conferences and work place of the bookkeeper.
3. Cemented flooring of three classrooms donated by Banner Plasticard, Inc. through their President Mrs. Evelyn L. Tan
who also donated our Computer room.
4. Jeep for Delivery Service for the Filling Station and for Students whose homes are far, Paid! Cost was shared by
GCMTS Badian and GCM-IT Missional Business- financial aid of Ligaya and other small contributions put together.
Prayer Request:
1. Wisdom for the Chemist who offered to help us improve the source of our Water System- the Mountain Spring so that
the water will always be sufficient.
2. Two thousand two hundred five dollars ($2, 205.00) for the Hand Tractor we need to cultivate our farm to have more
harvest- to help meet some of our needs.
3. Shallow tube well to always have enough water for the plants even at summer time.
4. The Lord to work wonders for us to pay our $50, 000.00 payables.
5. Missionary minded teachers that love the Lord.
6. Repair of the Teachers’ Quarter.
Thank you very much for all your help especially for your prayers. God bless you!
With love and Prayers,
Arsenia & GCM- Family

Paul said: By everything I did I showed you should work to help everyone who is weak. Remember that our Lord said
"more blessings come from giving than from receiving".
