April 14, 2010

                                     Dear Loving Friends,

I feel the quick march of time, do you? What is happening at your side? Let me recall on
what happened in GCM, March 19 to April 19 and on to what we’ve done! Events came one
after the other so fast that I feel lost! Some e-mails, etc. The March 2010 prayer letter
mailed to you thru snail mail was rushed- people were waiting for me. A caller said, “We shall
be at the orphanage 5 AM to be on time. We’ll take pictures of the children having their
morning devotion, singing and praying before their breakfast as they hurry for school at 6:
30 AM.” “Friends, this is our daily schedule on school days. I’ll see you there- 8 AM- be
going by public ride from Caloocan City Office to Boso-Boso, late but I shall see you.” Two
TV networks were taping activities of GCM children at the orphanage and at the schools
praying and hoping to challenge concerned people to help meet needs on the operation of
the charitable institution- a ministry of Love!

As a missionary body serving indigent children and families for 41 years now, we have our
own program to procure the needs of our children: March 11,  the Executive Director with
few work men and I delivered our new generator from Manila to Barayong, got it installed to
run our water-filling station in times of brownout. March 25 to 30 were graduation activities at
the elementary and High School Departments Boso-Boso.

After the Commencement Exercises of Boso-Boso High School (March 30, PM)- our missionary volunteer- Mrs. Ligaya
Pen and I packed our things and at 1 AM March 31- we left to be on time for the 4 PM Graduation and Recognition
Exercises of GCMTS Badian. The driving was smooth. At 2 PM the group got safely to Badian- lunch, rest and signed
certificates before the Commencement Exercises- joys and excitement of the parents and students! Confirmed the
graduates and awarded their diplomas. April 2-4, GCM Boso-Boso Commemorated Jesus’ 7 Last Sayings and
celebrated GCM’s 41st Anniversary. On the other hand, Arsenia joined Badian Fellowship for the first time.

April 3 was a big accent to the celebrations! First Grand Alumni Reunion- 1981 to 2010, 1,148 graduates in 30 years,
around two hundred plus alumni were present. The program started with a motorcade from the new school site went
south and north along seaside villages. Hot and dusty- lots of laughter and stories- as they drove, some on top of the
jeeps, others on their own cars, and more had motorcycles- the graduates in early 1980’s walked to school and Home
on muddy trails, some crossing swollen rivers caused by high tide- fears of big ocean waves, fellows helped the
ladies! After 25 years- good roads and bridges were constructed- now they drive their own cars. They had election of
officers- the body agreed to have grand reunion every 3 years- Arsenia butted in- all gave recognition. She
suggested that every meeting time must be marked with a good project- they agreed to paint and improve the rusting
roof of the hall where students have chapel hours. In her message on Psalm 133 & 127: “Living and working together
in harmony”- The alumni and students are the heritage of their Alma Mater. They are the sharp arrows that conquer,
protect, and the backbone of GCMTS. They call themselves Gracians- printed on their T-shirts.

Boso-Boso alumni had several Alumni Meetings but April 24 is their 1st Grand Reunion. In March 2010, while making
plans, some told me that each batch shall give a donation towards the finishing of the Elementary building. They saw
how this building was constructed little by little- the ideas made Arsenia feel great. “Let us not be weary in well doing
for in due season, we shall reap if we faint not.”- Gal. 6:9. Let us pray that Alumni of the Orphanage and the schools
be used by God to shoulder many responsibilities to boost the Mission Work. Mario Caliwan, orphanage alumnus,
now a contractor in painting and finishing touches of buildings helped improve GCM Chapel and Children’s cottages
and got them painted. He too constructed the Elementary Department Office.
Prayer Requests:
1.    That the Lord will strengthen the high spirits of the Alumni in helping their Alma Mater serve more needy children
and needs to operate the 2 High Schools and the Elementary Department to provide quality education.
2.    Parents and friends inspired by the testimonies of the alumni on what Grace Christian Mission had done to mold
their lives to be godly, loving and helpful people.
3.    For the 524 listed viewers on April 13-19, 2010 of Bandila newscast/Mr. Henry Omaga-Diaz (uploaded on
    Youtube - click
here ) about Arsenia and her Orphanage, that those campaigning candidates for the May 10, 2010
Elections
be challenged to help the orphans.
4.    Dr. Donald Byker’s e-mail to Arsenia hopefully to visit GCM soon with Donna Chamberlain to help boost GCM-IT
    Missional Business.
5.    Back to School 2010-2011. Activities- to start with our Deeper Life Fellowship in the 3 Schools- “Getting to know
more about our Lord, our relationship with Him and relationship to each other.”
6.    Wisdom to operate properly the different programs of GCM.

Thank you very much and God bless you! We will greatly appreciate your communications with us. Write
GCM/Arsenia.

With love and prayers,
GCM Family/Arsenia
