Dear Friends,

We moan over trials but as we learn to count blessings name them one by one joys and
blessings will always out weigh trials! Jesus said, I have come that they might have life and
have it in full” (Jn. 10:10b).  He knows our needs even before we call (Matt. 6:8)  But there is a
condition to meet “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these
things shall be added unto you” Matt. 6:33.  What are they?  Matt. 6:24-32 tells us not to
worry about: Food, water, and clothing – the primary needs for existence! But famines come –
Isa. 59:1-3 “Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear,,
but your iniquities have separated you from your God… your hands are stained with blood,
your fingers with guilt, your lips have spoken lies, your tongue muttered wicked things.  I Tim 3:
1-3 - There will be terrible time in the last days, people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of
money, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving “All these sins are common in our midst.

Let us be like Habakkuk 3:17-18 in times of crises.  Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the
vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle
in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will be joyful in God my Saviour.
An expert of the law tested Jesus, “which is the greatest commandment…Jesus replied, “Love the Lord your God with
all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind, this is the first and greatest commandment” Matt 22:37 and
I believe all men must put these into practice, but their purpose was to accuse Jesus of blasphemy, but Jesus in return
questioned them – Matt. 22:44-45 – he had proved to them that He is God – David called him Lord.  Phil. 2:10 – that
at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth – “O come let us adore Him)
3 Christ the Lord”
In the 80’s at Christmas time Badian-  where one of GCM’s School is, was hit by a very bad typhoon, people were
almost stripped of what they own.  Coconut trees were standing straight with few leaves waving, but no fruit, houses
near the ocean were swept away by big waves:  many were without houses, no carolers, no Christmas programs nor
parties in the public schools - teachers and pupils closed their doors and left for their Christmas vacation, but at
GCMTS – parents joyfully made simple native cakes for a Christmas worship and party – we had a happy time singing
Christmas songs & read stories on the Bible about the Birth of Jesus!  God graciously provided what we needed.
In 2006 – five very bad typhoons had again hit the Philippines and of course, Badian area.  The first was in June
where few glass windows of the school were broken – 4 of our 5 computers were wet and out of order – no electricity
for a while, things went normal for 2 months then 4 more came one after the other – as usual coconut trees are there
erect – with some fruits on them.  We delivered the equipments needed to make Virgin Coconut Oil – Nov. 9/06 – the
teachers and I agreed that we strategize our gathering ripe coconuts, but it was found out the coconuts looked ripe,
but very little oil in them – hence we are in much prayer that by January 2007 we can have some good coconuts, but
Nov. 30/06 a super typhoon hit the Bicol region again and Quezon Province, it was predicted that it will hit Manila area
Dec. 1 – 10 a.m. Classes in all schools were cancelled even GCM’s Board Meeting – wonders and blessings the
typhoon changed its course and we were spared, we only had rains and winds.
Blessings: 1) Nov. 20-24 – GCMTS-Boso-Boso celebrated her 30th Foundation week – students and teachers did well
in their performance on their exhibits and competitions – with good weather.  2)  Nov. 28- the Permit to operate
formally was given to the Elementary Department. 3)  In
spite of very limited funds the workmen had enclosed 3 classrooms with concrete walls – we are all
excited for the Day when the children will have classes in this building.
Prayer Requests:  1)  That God will soon send to us $10,500.00 to buy the needed materials to finish the elementary
school house – six classrooms.  (2)  Money needed to finish the renovation of the High School building - $5,500.00.
3)  The processing of GCM’s papers on her application to operate a business firm on Coconut tree products with the
Securities and Exchange Commission and with the Bureau of Food and Drugs:  Virgin Coconut Oil – Coconut husk
strings and fertilizers, etc.  4)  the needed equipments to produce the products.  5.)  a presentable: clean and neat
warehouse where we could work to produce V.C.O.  6)  Wisdom for us in GCM-Business that God will be glorified.  7)
that we can grow more Jathropa plants for Bio Diesel production.

Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to you!

Gratefully yours,

Arsenia for GCM-Family

Please avoid sending big packages to GCM thru the Post Office – the Custom office asks us to pay big sum which we
can’t afford to pay.  You may send it Door-to-Door – you may ask the help of Tremont Temple Baptist Church Filipino
Group on how you can do it.
